The exterior of the Shipping Permit Office from Redton Bay

Redton is a location on the Island, featured in Estranged: Act I.

It is the first location the Fisherman encounters as they are shipwrecked next to the shipping office. It is also home, at least temporarily to John Derril.

The shipping permit office is the place arriving ships report to when docking at Redton Bay. It is presumably used for goods inspections and dealing with import/export tarrifs and other administrative procedures.

John's Hut

The hut is situated on the top of the cliffs and is temporarily home to John Derril. The hut has a garden containing several vegetables, and backs on to a river (it therefore has a source of fresh food and water). John's hut contains the Bucket.

Nature Reserve

The nature reserve at Redton contains a lake surrounded by trees and grass, with a log cabin for visitors. Several camping sites can be seen throughout the reserve.

Train Depot

The train depot provides maintenance facilities for trains connecting Redton to Wentworth. The Fisherman takes a train from the depot, though finds it cannot continue too far due to an obstruction. See also Inlander Rail.

Characters

John Derril

John states that he went to the island with his wife and daughter for a family holiday, however they became separated. The hut in which John is staying is therefore presumed to be a holiday home, rather than a permanent residence. It's unclear who the owner of the property is.
