Sokol-Glockner Private Security (also known as "SG") are global private security firm and government contractor associated with Arque. The organisation is introduced formally in Estranged: The Departure, however is also present in Estranged: Act I.
Events Prior to Estranged
According to in-game dialogue, Sokol-Glocker is responsible for the high-profile shooting of an Arque employee:
Sokol-Glockner entered headlines earlier this year for its hand in the accidental shooting of an Arque Corporation employee on one of its offshore drilling platforms. The 37 year old employee emerged on a beach after evidently swimming from the platform, while doctors later confirmed a bullet in his leg. Sokol-Glockner confirmed the bullet was fired from one of their weapons, but refused to comment on the case. It insisted it was working with the relevant authorities.
This event, which occurs prior to the events of Estranged shows Sokol's lack of restraint, but also its ability to use (and lack of restraint with) firearms. From the story it isn't clear on the exact situation of the shooting, however this could have been a case of corporate espionage which Sokol were trying to stop on behalf of Arque.
Events of Estranged: Act I
Arque Guards are encountered in Act I's warehouse close to the end of the game, as they try to apprehend the Fisherman. The personnel are not clearly marked with the SG logo, but Arque's relationship with Sokol-Glocker makes it very likely that these forces are one and the same. Arque has no internal security force of the same caliber that we know of.
Events of Estranged: The Departure
Sokol-Glocker is first formally encountered when the Fisherman is captured by an SG guard and taken to Arque Wentworth. It is in and around this facility that SG personnel use deadly force to try to incapacitate the Fisherman.
