Arque Corporation is a multi-national corporation responsible for Deep Sea Operations, Logistics and Chemical Research according to its website, with significant presence on the Island in the form of multiple research facilities.
It collaborates closely with Sokol-Glockner Private Security for its security requirements, which uses leathal force to protect company secrets.
Arque is responsible for the following broadcast message, from the Satellite Station on the island:
This is an automated message from Arque corporation. There has been a safety breach. Mandatory curfew is in effect. Please remain inside.
The main events of Estranged: Act I and Estranged: The Departure revolve around Arque, and its activities on the island.
Encounter with Fisherman
It's unclear exactly when Arque become aware of the Fisherman's presence, though the Estranged: Act I (Dialogue)#Capturer dialogue reveals that this was at least when the Fisherman entered the sewer facility between Redton and Wentworth. It's conceivable that Arque could have become aware of the Fisherman prior to this however, either via the shipwreck itself or communications sent by the Fisherman while in the vicinity of the Island.
Arque's first instinct appears to be to capture the Fisherman, interrogate them, and leave them for dead. When this fails however, and the Fisherman aids Arque employee George Richmond to attempt to send an S.O.S. signal off the Island, Arque begins to hunt the Fisherman with lethal force. This fails until the Fisherman is captured once again, imprisioned in another Arque facility presumably to be tortured for information relating to accomplices.
When the Fisherman manages to disable the signal jamming attempts from the Satellite Station and John Derril manages to send an S.O.S. message, fighter jets are scrambled to the island. Following the Fisherman's escape from the Island, it is not known whether Arque is aware of the Fisherman's presence at their Arctic facility.
Relationship to Governments
During the events of Estranged: The Departure, fighter jets are scrabled when the curfew message from the Satellite Station is disabled, and an S.O.S. message is finally sent. It's never revealed whether this is directly attributable to Arque, however it does imply that Arque's work on the island is of relevance on a global scale, so much so that governments are willing to aid in the safeguarding of those secrets using considerable military assistance.
Arque works closely with Sokol-Glockner Private Security which is described by Estranged: The Departure (Dialogue)#Breakfast Burst TV News Presenter as a "government contractor", so it is worth considering that Arque too could be an even larger, more integrated government contractor.
Information Systems
Arque facilities contain many IT systems, most of which can be accessed without a username or password. These are in fact the main way the Fisherman is able to learn about the company and its employees.
